Actor Jin Tae-hyun has set a new record.
On the 16th, Jin posted on his social media, "It has been exactly 2 years since I seriously started marathon running, and I finally broke the 3-hour 20-minute barrier. I finished with a record of 3 hours 19 minutes and 34 seconds. It is a new pb."
He added, "I shortened my time by 20 minutes compared to last year's Dong-A Marathon and by 6 minutes compared to last year's JTBC competition. I am so happy," noting, "One thing I can brag about is that I maintained the same pace from start to finish. I have 9 minutes and 35 seconds left to reach my goal. I will try my best to achieve it someday."
He expressed his gratitude towards his beloved family, saying, "I am grateful to my wife, Si-eun, who is always there with me, to my dad who taught me about marathons, to my daughter, Tae-eun, who is waiting for me in heaven, to my wonderful daughters who call me a good father despite my unworthiness, and to my sister, Yeon-jin, who takes care of me like a younger brother every week. I am very thankful for my family."
Finally, he stated, "From tomorrow, I will start running again from the beginning. I compete with myself. I only support other people's running and am not significantly interested in it," revealing his true identity as a "runner."
Meanwhile, Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun adopted their daughter Park Da-bi through adult adoption after marrying in 2015. In 2022, they announced pregnancy news but faced the heartache of miscarriage just 20 days before the due date, which drew sadness. Additionally, in January, they drew attention by revealing that they had newly adopted two daughters.
