Actor Ji Seung-hyun becomes the head of a voice phishing organization.

On the 17th, Big Whale Entertainment announced that actor Ji Seung-hyun has confirmed his appearance as Ma Seok-goo in the Wavve drama "Dan-gye" which focuses on voice phishing and deepfake.

The Wavve drama "Dan-gye" (written by Kim Dan-bi, directed by Choi Hyung-jun, produced by Tiger Studio) is centered around the recently rising social issues of voice phishing crimes and deepfake. It portrays a revenge drama in which an unknown actor, who loses parents to a phishing scam, infiltrates a large voice phishing organization using deepfake technology to take them down.

In the drama, actor Ji Seung-hyun will showcase a villainous performance as Ma Seok-goo, the head of a loan scam phishing organization called "Ilseongpa," who appears to wear a relaxed smile but transforms into a volatile character when provoked.

Not only Ji Seung-hyun but also the relationships involving Lee Joo-young (played by Ha So-min), who loses her parents, and elite police officer Gu Jun-hwa (played by Park Jeong-hoon) in the drama "Dan-gye" have raised anticipation.

So far, actor Ji Seung-hyun has brilliantly portrayed various characters through MBC's "Lovers," KBS2's "Goryeo Khitan War," and SBS's "Good Partner," shining on both the screen and television as the police officer Do Pil in the film "Moksbak." He has also secured a role in the film "My Friend is a Murderer" scheduled for release in the second half of this year.

Additionally, in the successful SBS drama "Good Partner," he shone with his irreplaceable presence by winning the supporting actor award at the "2024 SBS Acting Awards" for his role as Kim Ji-sang, raising expectations for what title he will acquire through this drama "Dan-gye."

Continuing his rising momentum, the drama "Dan-gye" featuring actor Ji Seung-hyun is set to be released on Wavve starting in May, with broadcasting arrangements currently under discussion.
