Jung Dong-won shared news about his new album and provided updates about himself.
On the 12th, in a broadcast of MBC's 'Radio Star,' singer Jung Dong-won reported that he has been saving money lately.
Earlier that day, Jung Dong-won said, 'I was shocked to see my bank account balance,' noting that he has been practicing frugality and saving money. Jung Dong-won reflected, 'In the past, I didn't even know how much I had and just spent freely. I bought a lot of figurines and shopped at department stores, buying everything I wanted. Now, I don’t spend except for food expenses.'
Jung Dong-won mentioned that he has recently gained popularity in Japan. He said, 'In Japan, they recognize me as a rookie idol who has just debuted. So, I approached everything with the attitude of a newcomer and have had many fans in their teens and twenties come to see me, which was a unique experience.'
Jung Dong-won said, 'Although JD1 and I are the same person, I think of it as just a different genre,' adding, 'At first, I acted stiffly like a robot. I often heard comments like, 'Why is he acting like that?' so I’m trying to be more flexible.'
Jung Dong-won stated that he is on the verge of releasing his second full album after three years. He said, 'The title of my first full album was 'Nostalgia, The Giving Tree.' I promised to give love generously to my fans. This time, the title 'A Gift from a Tall Man' symbolizes the love I received from my fans.'
Jung Dong-won announced, 'The title track is called 'Heung!'' and noted, 'It incorporates BASS traditional music, as well as EDM and hip-hop. Overall, it is dance music.' He added, 'Rapper Kim Ha-on is featured on it. I think it will do very well.'
Jung Dong-won said, 'Along with the album, I am preparing for a nationwide tour concert.' He mentioned, 'I’ve done it about twice before, but it’s been a while since we've had a nationwide tour.'
Jung Dong-won shared that if this album does well, there are plans for JD1 to be released this year. He noted, 'Officially, JD1 is under maintenance and charging. It is expected to come out after being upgraded,' which drew laughter from those around him.
