"A creative attempt that transcends the boundaries of materials and fashion"

The fashion design brand OUWR is showcasing a special exhibition through collaboration with the interior materials brand LX Hausys.

The fourth episode of the trendship, “Maison de Synergy,” which embodies the synergy of materials and fashion, is being held at Bukchon Week Alley in Jongno-gu, Seoul, until the 30th. This exhibition proposes a new perspective on materials through the meeting of interior materials and fashion. This exhibition, which started from the idea that “materials are the clothes spaces wear,” unravels the possibilities of everyday materials through the new perspective of “fashion.”

Oh Ha-eun, a designer from OUWR, known for stylishly interpreting traditional culture with a youthful sensibility, noted, “In this project, OUWR reinterpreted the experience of LX Hausys, which has been with Korean residential culture for a long time, with a modern sensibility, and I hope that through a creative attempt that transcends the boundaries of materials and fashion, materials will not just remain simple architectural elements but become design elements that enrich our lives.”

She added, "I hope that those who come to see this exhibition will experience the synergy of various fields that transcend interior design and fashion."

OUWR collaborated with LX Hausys on themed fashion collections, AI photo shoots, and merchandise production.

OUWR gained global attention by designing the hanbok worn by the girl group BLACKPINK at the world’s largest music festival, Coachella in the United States. Hollywood actors Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, as well as director Shawn Levy, received much applause for stylishly wearing OUWR’s hanbok during their visit to Korea. Designer Oh Ha-eun won the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for young hanbok artists during the “2023 Hanbok Cultural Week.” She was also selected for the “2024 Hanbok Wave” project, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft and Design Foundation, and designed hanbok for actress Kim Tae-ri.
