10CM's 'I want to reach you' will be released as a digital track for the first time in 15 years.
According to Kakao Entertainment on the 6th, Melon has selected singer 10CM as the third protagonist of its 'Artist Special' series through its human curation service 'Edition m (EDITION m).'
Accordingly, 10CM will remake the opening song 'I want to reach you' of the Japanese anime 'I want to reach you' Season 1, which aired on Tooniverse at 6 p.m. on the 6th, and release it as an official digital track.
The song was greatly loved during the anime's airing, but due to the absence of an official digital track, fans had to listen to it only through low-quality YouTube videos. Nevertheless, many fans continue to show their unwavering affection for the song by leaving comments on those videos and sharing memories.
With this release, 'I want to reach you' will be reborn as a warm melody love song that captivates not only existing anime fans but also listeners who have loved 10CM's music for a long time, as well as the general public encountering the song for the first time. In particular, it is expected to be loved as the first 'spring song' representing this spring, perfectly blending with the season filled with excitement.
To celebrate the track's release, Melon Magazine will present various contents related to 10CM on the same day. This will include a playlist showcasing 10CM's representative songs, as well as behind-the-scenes footage of the music video for 'I want to reach you' shot in various everyday locations like bus stops, rooftops, and the Han River, capturing the vibrant atmosphere and joy of the filming site.
Meanwhile, Edition m, launched by Melon in June last year, is a human curation service that aims to 'explore all music in the world,' based on the capabilities of a leading music platform, along with a collective of 14 music experts including Im Jin-mo, Jung Min-jae, and Kim Yoon-ha, from the birth of genres to the must-listen albums of representative artists.
