'Couple Palace 2' made its entrance into Palace Week, causing viewers to become overly immersed.

In the fourth episode of Mnet's 'Couple Palace 2' (directed by Lee Sun-young CP and Jung Min-seok PD), which aired on the 26th, the highly anticipated Palace Week commenced after a speed dating event that provided various opportunities for encounters.

Only couples matched as one pick for each other can enter Palace Week, with a total of 15 couples qualifying, including the pharmacist man number 19 and the corporate employee woman number 13, the patent attorney & lawyer man number 26 and the overseas study company employee woman number 9, and the nursing school professor man number 28 and company employee A (Choi Seo-hee) who has 1.3 million followers. Woman number 5, Kim Ye-rin, who returned after losing 20 kg, experienced difficulties in finding her match but dramatically entered Palace Week with the Canadian model man number 21.

Surprising results also emerged. Kim Keon-hee, the American lawyer man number 9 who returned after season 1, approached the translator woman number 25, Ha Soo-jin, with the condition of 'U.S. citizenship' for marriage but shared shocking news of his elimination. Choi Eun-jung, formerly of Cleo, who confessed to freezing her eggs because she wanted to have a child within a year and showed genuine intentions toward marriage, also displayed a romantic atmosphere with the dental doctor man number 27, Choi Young-jun, but ultimately failed to qualify for Palace Week.

Special MCs Kahi and Heo Kyung-hwan officially opened the Palace Week threshold. Notably, a new rule called 'secret date,' which had not existed in season 1, was introduced, hinting at a competitive environment. The 15 couples shared information about their names, ages, and financial statuses, creating an atmosphere for verification as they got to know each other. Yang Jeong-won, who said she wanted a newlywed home worth over 2 billion won, was shocked to learn that the man she was matched with had a debt of 1 billion won and stated, 'I absolutely cannot date someone with debt.'

The identity of the additional entrants, nicknamed 'catfish,' was also finally revealed. Specifically, man number 3, Hwang Jae-geun, a corporate employee from a Japanese conglomerate who had shown excitement during the speed dating, and woman number 19, model Yoo Hye-won, joined together as catfish, offering a twist. Additionally, woman number 25, translator Ha Soo-jin, who rejected the affections of American lawyer Kim Keon-hee, also joined as a catfish, hinting at further changes.

The choices of single men and women caught between the couple zone and single zone heightened the immersion. The moment of choice arrived, whether to enter the 'couple zone' to prepare for marriage with their matched partner or to enter the 'single zone' to find a new partner. Meanwhile, man number 7, Choi Jae-yeon, an oral surgeon, and woman number 23, Seo Jin-joo, a banker specializing in VIPs, chose the couple zone, while their matched counterparts, woman number 18, Bae Joo-hee, a pharmacist, and man number 24, Lee Sang-gyeong, a dermatologist, headed to the single zone, displaying diverging paths.

Afterward, a new affection vote began, signaling the start of chaotic romantic relationships. Participants had to choose one member of the opposite sex, excluding their current match, and Bae Joo-hee expressed her feelings for man number 24, Lee Sang-gyeong, who showed signals of affection instead of her current match, Choi Jae-yeon. Towards the end of the broadcast, a date between Lee Sang-gyeong and Bae Joo-hee was confirmed, raising curiosity about the direction of the unfolding complex relationships.

With exciting developments unfolding in each episode, Mnet's 'Couple Palace 2' keeps viewers engaged, airing every Wednesday at 10:40 p.m. on Mnet and tvN.
