The identity of the YouTube channel 'Cheonggye Mountain Dungi Records,' which has maintained its mystique, has been revealed to be Jo Jung-suk, raising expectations about whether he will embark on full-fledged activities as a result.
On the 13th, 'Dungi Dad' appeared on the YouTube channel 'Cheonggye Mountain Dungi Records,' which was introduced by IU, singing with a voice very similar to Jo Jung-suk's, prompting speculation that 'this is not being run by Jo Jung-suk.'
Amid various speculations, his identity was accidentally revealed during a communication session that day. At the moment 'Dungi Dad' placed his hand on his face, the sticker was removed. Jo Jung-suk's face was completely exposed. Jo Jung-suk was also taken aback, saying, "Oh?" and lost for words for several seconds, sweating while saying, "My face is red now; can you not see?"
Afterward, Jo Jung-suk continued the broadcast nonchalantly, but netizens flooded the comments with reactions like "It's a broadcasting accident." Jo Jung-suk, while pretending to be unaware, said, "What accident are you talking about?" and quickly concluded the broadcast, joking that he wouldn't be able to move much or turn his head.
Yesterday, about seven days later, he posted an official apology broadcast. 'Dungi Dad' said, "To be honest, I have thought countless times about whether this is right. I am still the same." He added, "What if I now reveal my true identity and do YouTube? I am really thinking a lot about it. As you know, there are two egos, a worldview. It's a situation where the two egos collide."
While doing so, behind the newly released video was a frame with Jo Jung-suk's name written on it, bringing laughter. In response, netizens commented, "This turned out well; let's reveal our identity and do activities," "It might be better to change the name to 'identity clear' instead of 'identity unknown,'" and "Wow, so charming. I support any activity!"
Meanwhile, Jo Jung-suk married singer Gummy in 2018 after five years of dating and has one daughter.
Jo Jung-suk said, "As I mentioned earlier, I wanted to apologize again for making a fatal mistake as an unidentified YouTuber. I am deeply sorry that it seems I am no longer 'identity unknown' but rather 'identity clear.'"
