Recently, the group BTS, whose members have all completed their military service, will make a comeback with a full album next spring.
The seven members of BTS surprised fans by announcing this fact during a Weverse Live session on the afternoon of the 1st. After the release of their new album next year, they plan to meet their global 'ARMY' through a world tour.
It has been four years since BTS released a new album as a full group and held a solo concert after the Anthology album 'Proof' and the 'Yet to Come in Busan' performance in 2022.
Leader RM said, 'From July, we will seriously gather together and focus on music production,' adding, 'Our group album is set to be released next spring.' He also emphasized, 'Of course, there will be a world tour starting next spring, so please look forward to it as we visit various places around the world.'
He continued, 'We will communicate as much as possible through Weverse Live or social media, so just give us a little time and we will show you everything properly at once,' adding, 'The album will be produced in the United States.'
The members began their military service in December 2022, starting with the eldest, Jin, and last month all members, including RM, V, Jimin, Jungkook, and Suga, have either been discharged or released from enlistment.
BTS debuted in June 2013 as a hip-hop idol and has produced six albums that reached number one on the Billboard 200 main album chart and six number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100 main single chart.
Jungkook said, 'This time, we are going to return to our original intentions completely.' Jimin stated, 'We will prepare quickly and diligently so that the wait for you isn’t long,' adding, 'Just being together makes us happy.'
This was the first time BTS broadcasted live together since September 2022. The live broadcast lasted about 30 minutes and surpassed 7.3 million views in real-time.
