Pianist Seong-Jin Cho received the prestigious Opus Klassik award from the German classical music community.
According to the Opus Klassik website on the 25th, Seong-Jin Cho has been named the winner of the Opus Klassik 'Instrumentalist of the Year' award for his album 'Ravel: Complete Piano Works'.
Not only Seong-Jin Cho, but also German violinist Antje Weithaas and French trumpeter Lucien Jean-Baptiste were selected as 'Instrumentalist of the Year'.
The prestigious German classical award Opus Klassik is organized by the non-profit organization German Music Promotion Association. This year, Opus Klassik selected winners in 30 categories, including female singer, male singer, conductor of the year, and composer of the year, with the participation of 11 experts.
The awards ceremony will be held in Berlin, Germany, from October 10 to 12 (local time).
