The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it will promote the '2025 Korea Summer Accommodation Sale Festa' event in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization to encourage domestic travel among citizens and invigorate the local economy ahead of the summer vacation season.

This event will be divided into three parts: ▲ a 'regional special planning edition' with 13 metropolitan governments, ▲ a 'main edition' for non-capital area accommodations, and ▲ a 'special disaster area edition' for regions affected by wildfires and the 12.29 passenger plane disaster, with a total of 400,000 accommodation discount vouchers being distributed.

The 'regional special planning edition' will issue 41,500 vouchers from May 28 to 30. When booking accommodation products priced at over 70,000 won in the 13 provinces, including Gangwon, Gyeongnam, Gyeongbuk, Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, Busan, Ulsan, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Jeju, Chungnam, and Chungbuk, a discount benefit of 50,000 won will be available. The accommodation period is from June 5 to July 17.

The 'main edition' will distribute 258,500 vouchers from June 2 to July 17 for accommodations outside the capital area (Seoul, Gyeonggi, Incheon). When booking accommodation products priced at over 70,000 won, a discount voucher of 30,000 won will be available, and for those priced between 20,000 won and under 70,000 won, a 20,000 won discount voucher can be received. The accommodation period is from June 5 to July 17.

Additionally, this event will promote 'special support' for areas recently affected by wildfires and regions impacted by the 12.29 passenger plane disaster. From June 18 to July 17, a total of 100,000 discount vouchers will be distributed to 10 regions, including Sancheong, Hadong, Andong, Yeongdeok, Yeongyang, Uiseong, Cheongsong, Ulju, Muan, and Gwangju Metropolitan City. When booking accommodation products priced at over 70,000 won, a discount of 50,000 won can be received, and for those priced under 70,000 won, a discount of 30,000 won can be applied. The accommodation period is from June 18 to July 31.

All accommodation discount vouchers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on May 28 through online travel agency channels, limited to one per person. Reservations and payments must be completed within the valid time from 10 a.m. on the day the vouchers are received until 7 a.m. the following day. If not used within the validity period, the vouchers will automatically expire.
