The world's top sommeliers will personally uncork wine in the heart of Cheongdam, Seoul, and present a Korean food pairing course to match. This one-day event will be held at the restaurant 'Onyva.'

On May 19th, a wine pairing dinner featuring two master sommeliers will take place at Onyva in Cheongdam, Seoul. The event will see the participation of Dennis Kelly and Chris Miller from the United States.

At the event, the two master sommeliers will introduce their wines and handle the service. This exclusive occasion will feature wines crafted by Chris Miller along with a course meal prepared by Chef Park Jin-yong of Onyva.

Master sommeliers are recognized as the top-level wine experts that are internationally acknowledged, with only about 300 individuals having received this title since 1969. Both have extensive experience at Michelin-starred restaurants, earning a reputation for their deep understanding of not just wine but overall restaurant service.

Chris Miller, master sommelier, served as the wine director at 'Spago' in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, and has accumulated numerous awards including 'America's Best New Sommelier' as selected by 'Wine Spectator.'

He is currently active as a producer through his own wine brands, 'Seabold' and 'Adroit.' In particular, Adroit features a series that experimentally handles lesser-known varieties in California such as Trousseau and Falanghina, receiving positive feedback among sommeliers in Korea.

Dennis Kelly, master sommelier, has also worked as a sommelier at high-end restaurants in the U.S., including French Laundry and Protégé. He obtained his master sommelier certification in 2012 and is currently introducing premium California wines to the Korean market through Better Beverage Company.

He noted, 'Korea has a culture of enjoying wine rather than merely consuming it,' adding, 'I want to share the appeal of various wines here.'

The event will follow a format where sommeliers serve and explain the wines directly, allowing for discussions related to wine with the producers. Reservations can be made through the Onyva Instagram account.
