The Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines" is gaining popularity overseas, and despite Netflix being prohibited in China, invitations have been sent to the drama's production team and actors.

On the 2nd, an official post on the Weibo account of the Zhangjiajie Daily, the organ of Zhangjiajie (Zhangjiajie), stated, "The Zhangjiajie Cultural Tourism Radio Sports Bureau has sent invitations to director Kim Won-seok, writer Lim Sang-chun, and the lead actors of 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.'"

In the Korean invitation, Zhangjiajie said, "We invite you to Zhangjiajie," and added, "Watch the 'Fallen Leaves Promise' together during the Zhangjiajie trip." This referenced a scene in which the protagonist, Ae-soon, promises the sick Kwan-sik, "Let's go to Zhangjiajie next autumn to see the autumn leaves."

Zhangjiajie noted, "At this moment, as 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' is being widely aired worldwide, I express heartfelt congratulations and gratitude on behalf of all citizens of Zhangjiajie," and added, "The touching line, 'Let's go to Zhangjiajie to see the autumn leaves next year,' has not only connected the beautiful scenery of Zhangjiajie with emotions that transcend borders but has also evoked a longing for this mysterious land among audiences worldwide."

Although Netflix is not officially available in China, Chinese viewers have been praising the drama through circumvention methods. A famous Chinese drama producer also highly praised "When Life Gives You Tangerines."
